Q. Where is Summerset Storage located?
A. We are located between Black Hawk and Summerset, SD, on Sturgis Road
(old Highway 79 North). Use I-90, Exit 52 and you're only 10 minutes from downtown Rapid City!
 

Q. How do I rent a storage unit? 

A. It simply starts with a phone call. (605) 716-5300.
 

Q. What sizes do you offer?
A. We offer sizes of: 5 x 10, 10 x 5, 10 x 10, 10 x 15, 10 x 20, 10 x 25
(doors on both sides of unit)

and 10 x 30 (doors on both sides of unit).   


Q. Is there a minimum time that I must rent a unit?
A. Yes, 30 days is our minimum rent period.    We pro-rate the move-in month, which brings everyone’s rent due on the first of each month. After the move-in month your rent is month-to-month, in round months.    


Q. Do I have to give a notice when I move out? 

A. NO MOVE-OUT NOTICE IS REQUIRED. If you don’t want to pay for next month, make sure you are out by the end of this month and your deposit will be returned in the mail within a short period.
 

Q. What payment methods are accepted?
A. We accept cash, checks, money orders or online bill-pay from your bank or credit union. 

(Sorry, we do not accept credit cards.)
 

Q. Do I need to provide my own lock?
A. Yes. This way you are the only one with access to your unit, not even us.  
 

Q. Is a security deposit required?
A. Yes, in the amount of one month's rent. We gladly refund deposits to renters who do not leave anything in their units when they move out, leaving us with an empty unit and no damage to our property.  
 

Q. Is there heat or electricity in the storage units?
A. No.   


Q. Do you offer outdoor storage?
A. No.
